Senior journalist and columnist M.V. Kamath yesterday released “Devi Kshetrada Parichaya Haagu Mahatmye” at a simple function at Shri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra, Harikhandige.

The book in Kannada, authored by Guruji Shri Suresh J. Pai, gives information about Shri Mahalasa Narayani’s beautiful temple and related temples in the scenic campus located at Harikhandige, about 22 kms from Udupi town.

The book carries the experiences and feelings of many devotees who have visited the temple since 2002, when it was opened.

“Devi Kshetrada Parichaya Haagu Mahatmye” (Introduction to Devi Kshetra and its Mahatmye) will be available to the general public soon. More information will be available on the temple’s website, http://harikhandige.mahalasa.org.

The book’s release coincided with Shri Guru Deva Datta Jayanti celebrations at the Devi Kshetra, where there is also a Datta Peetha.
